The Doodhganga is the stream that runs through the Yusmarg meadow in West Kashmir — a name that most Kashmir visitors encounter only as a geographic reference for the meadow rather than as a destination in its own right. The stream rises in the high Budgam forest and meadow belt above Yusmarg and the valley it runs through above the meadow carries a forest and stream character that the Yusmarg day-tripper economy has never touched.
