Wild 4 Days Hirpora Kashmir Wildlife Package | Feral

Overview for Hirpora Kashmir Wildlife Package
Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary covers approximately 340 square kilometres of deodar, fir and pine forest in the Shopian district of South Kashmir — a dense, high-elevation forest belt rising from approximately 1,800 metres to above 4,000 metres on the upper ridges of the Pir Panjal range. The sanctuary is the documented habitat of the Kashmir markhor — the straight-horned wild goat found in this specific Himalayan belt — along with Himalayan black bear, leopard, musk deer and the Himalayan monal pheasant. It was closed to civilian tourism for a period and has reopened under managed wildlife tourism protocols that limit access to the buffer zone. No travel agency in mainland India has packaged it as a primary destination. This hirpora kashmir wildlife package is the first in the Bon Voyagers series to treat the Shopian forest as the reason to go.
Bon Voyagers handles the pickup from Srinagar Airport and covers three nights with a private Innova, Xylo or Scorpio class vehicle throughout. Night 1 is in Srinagar. Night 2 is at Shopian town — the district headquarters approximately 70 kilometres south of Srinagar and the closest functional hotel base to the sanctuary. Day 3 enters the Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary buffer zone with a certified wildlife guide for the full day programme. Night 3 returns to Srinagar before the Day 4 airport drop. Prior permission from the Wildlife Warden Shopian is required and is arranged by the Bon team before travel. Daily breakfast and dinner on MAP basis throughout.
